Drew's Day

Drew and I spent a rare day with just the two of us today! He wanted to go to the toy store to play with the trains, and while we were there, we were invited to come back in a few hours for a Thomas the Train "Party". The kids painted their own trains, colored pictures of Thomas, and enjoyed cookies and juice. We were lucky to be in the right place at the right time to stumble upon such a perfect activity. Afterwards, Drew picked out the cute shades (below), and we enjoyed a nice cold icee from our favorite summer spot, Doodles. My little baby is growing up too fast...he is becoming such good company and is such a big boy!
He started by choosing yellow paint, and then added many other colors to result in a very colorful engine....

Chattering away about this week's train obsession (Daisy, pictured), who we have discovered is "retired", thus impossible to find in toy stores, and sporting a fancy price tag of $40 online....

Drew had fun painting and playing with new friends...

all smiles for a fun and special day!
